Religion : Islam is the predominant religion in Pakistan, and the majority of Pakistanis are Muslims, with a significant portion following Sunni Islam. There are also Shia, Ahmadiyya, Christian, Hindu, and other religious communities in the country.



The majority religion in Pakistan is Islam. According to the 1998 census (the most recent available at my knowledge cutoff in September 2021), approximately 95-98% of Pakistan's population practices Islam. Within the Muslim population, the majority are Sunni Muslims, while the rest are Shia Muslims.

In addition to Islam, there are also small communities of various religious minorities in Pakistan, including Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, and others. These minorities collectively constitute a small percentage of the country's population.
